Bosch 4100-09 25cm Worksite Table Saw Review. Saw Reviews And DIY Projects

ESTHETICS & DUABILITY

The Bosch brand is a well-known name in the power tool industry, even though it has been around since the late 456 cms. Bosch did not enter the power tool market until 2003.

They have been able to build a reputation as a leading brand in quality and style. Bosch makes some of my favorite tools. But all the fancy lines and designs are not just there to make you swoon.

Bosch is proud to offer some of the strongest tools available. The Bosch 4100-09 is no exception. »

The Saw Guy

Let’s now talk about the actual material this table saw is made from.

Bosch 4100-09 table saw is solidly built with a variety of work-enhancing attachments that make it easier.

The motor and the table are the most important components of any table saw. The Bosch 4100-09 motor is solid, strong, and quiet. This motor will last a long time if taken care of properly.

The Bosch table is a high-quality table that has a few minor problems. The table is coated with a hard-anodized finish. This coating can wear over time and could be problematic if it is used enough.

To be completely honest, I’m not sure why Bosch didn’t leave the aluminum table uncoated instead of applying an anodized finish.

The blade that comes in a package is not of high quality, as with most table saws. It will wear quickly, especially if you have a large project. A 50-tooth blade can be used for a variety of purposes and is a versatile blade.

The Bosch 4100-09 has a second factor that you should consider when choosing the right blade. Bosch’s new riving knife system has a.091 Kerf. This is used to define the thickness of the blade.

The kerf of the blade that you buy has a.092 (i.e. You will likely experience binding at the back of the blade if the kerf is.092 (i.e. FreudLU83R010). A blade with a kerf of.098 (i.e. Freud Avanti 50T should solve the problem. It is important to note that all Bosch blades should work with the Bosch 4100-9.

To be completely honest, I was skeptical when I first saw the Dewalt 749 stand. This stand is bulletproof and likely way too well-engineered, but that’s okay with me.

You want to learn how it works?

How The Stand Works

It’s easy (although I don’t really understand what it means). You simply need to press the red lever at the saw’s side. After you have pressed the red lever, move forward so that the saw folds in half.

There is no lifting or struggling. Your body weight is all that’s required to move forward or backward. This would be a great stand to use with any portable tool. This is an amazing feature.

The assembly of the Bosch is very simple. The manual says that you need 10 and 16 mm wrenches, but in reality you only need 13 and 17 mm wrenches. It is unclear how this one made it past the editing.

FUNCTION

There are many opinions about the Bosch 4100-09 being ready to use right out of the box. It really comes down to luck. Although I’m certain the saws have been factory aligned before shipping, it is impossible to know what kind of journey the saws went through before being unpacked.

It may have been a rough journey (perhaps the trucking company employed a rookie driver to transport the shipment), or it might have been a bit jumbled. It could have been smooth and ready to go when you open it. That’s all I think it boils down too.

But, after many uses, the gauges and other parts can need to be re-aligned. This is not unusual for large portable equipment.

Although it may seem unlikely, the accuracy of tape on table saws with lower prices isn’t always excellent. This is not true for the Bosch 4100-09. The indicator will ensure that the fence is perfectly aligned with the table across your cut.

After a while, apply some car wax to the rails. After it dries completely, wipe it off. This will make the fence slide smoothly and reduce the chatter that it makes when it is in place.

Table Saw Safety

When choosing the right table saw for you, safety features are a major consideration. If you don’t use caution and technique properly, table saws can be dangerous power tools.

Bosch 4100-09 has many safety features that can be easily installed or removed, but only when it is necessary.

You can remove the blade guard and riving knife easily with a quick release. These elements used to be so difficult to put back together that people would just leave them alone. It is much easier to put it back on now that the quick-release function is available.

Bosch also offers a push stick. It is often not known that it comes with the tablesaw, but it will be in the right place behind the power cord storage.

This saw is incredibly organized. Although it can seem confusing at first, you will soon understand why this table saw is the best.

The under carriages of portable table saws should be as open as possible in order to keep saw dust from building up. The Bosch 4100-09 has a few spots where dust can collect.

You will have difficulty getting rid of all the dust if you try to vacuum it off or brush it off. It is best to stop using the saw after you’re done. This will most likely eliminate any dust traps.

Nit Picking

They should not have painted the table’s surface. It would have been fine without the aluminum.

Below the saw, there are some places where dust can collect.

It limits the number of blades that you can use in certain projects due to the.091 kerf on the riving knives.
